On the other hand, if the applied voltage is greater than the required LED forward voltage, the device operates in 1x mode. The efficiency is controlled by the charge pump.
How to achieve optimum performance in AAT3176?
Proper choice of external capacitors can optimize the performance of the AAT3176. Three external capacitors control the output ripples, turn-on time, and transient performance. Low ESR ceramic capacitors can be selected to optimize the performance. The ceramic capacitor should be selected due to the small dimensions of PCB footprint, low equivalent series resistance, and lower cost. Low ESR can control the charge pump transient response in a better way.
